How to apply

1. Confirm eligibility: be aged 60 or over (or 50+ and a First Nations Australian for the Seniors Business Discount Card), be a permanent Australian resident living in Victoria as your primary residence, and work fewer than 35 hours per week in paid employment or be fully retired
2. Apply online for free at the Victorian Seniors Card application portal: https://dhhs-cardoperations.my.site.com/SeniorsApplication — the online form takes less than five minutes
3. Alternatively, collect a paper application form from your local library and complete it in full (paper applications require a statutory declaration witnessed by an authorised person)
4. Submit the paper form by post to the address listed on the form
5. You may submit your application up to three weeks before your 60th birthday
6. Await processing — your card will arrive by mail within approximately three weeks of your application being received
7. Be aware of fraudulent websites that charge a fee; the Victorian Seniors Card application is always free — apply only through seniorsonline.vic.gov.au or DFFH
