Unwanted Medicines & Sharps Disposal — Pharmacy Return (RUM)
Households can drop unwanted medicines at any community pharmacy free of charge under the Return Unwanted Medicines (RUM) programme. Sharps (needles and syringes) are NOT accepted in RUM bins — they go to a community sharps disposal point instead. Important reference for cleaners / aged-care workers who find loose medication or needles during a clean.
