Health & Safety Representative (HSR) Training
QLD
In Queensland all HSRs must complete an approved five-day training course within 28 days of their election. A HSR can only issue cease-work notices, verbally direct workers to cease unsafe work, or issue a provisional improvement notice (PIN) after completing the five-day course. The PCBU must let the HSR choose the approved provider, attend on paid time, and pay the training fees. Re-elected HSRs do a one-day annual refresher instead.
