Fair Work — Unpaid Wages Claim (Post-Closure)
When your employer has stopped trading but has NOT entered formal insolvency, FEG cannot help yet. The Fair Work Ombudsman can only assist while the ABN status of the business is listed as active or in administration. If the business has been abandoned without a formal wind-up, ASIC may help employees recover entitlements and can wind up the company so a FEG claim becomes possible.
