A government safety-net scheme that pays unpaid wages, leave, payment-in-lieu of notice and redundancy when your employer becomes insolvent (liquidation, bankruptcy of a sole trader employer, or court-appointed receivership). Caps apply — maximum 4 weeks of unpaid wages and the redundancy cap is 4 weeks per year of service.
