Energy Retailer Authorisation

Retailer authorisation required under national energy law to engage in the retail sale of electricity or gas, issued by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER). Applicants must satisfy three entry criteria: organisational/technical capacity, financial resources, and suitability. To trade in wholesale markets a separate AEMO registration is also required.
