How to apply

1. Determine whether your business supplies workers to a third-party host in SA — if yes, a licence is legally required before operating (or by 29 July 2026 for industries newly covered from 29 January 2026).
2. Identify at least two 'fit and proper' responsible persons who manage the business day-to-day; each must obtain a National Police Certificate (NPC) issued within the last 12 months.
3. Obtain a letter from a registered accountant confirming the business is financially solvent.
4. Gather supporting documents: business structure details (ABN, ACN if body corporate), details of all directors/responsible persons, NPC for each responsible person, and evidence of compliance with employment laws and workplace safety obligations.
5. Complete the online application form at https://forms.sa.gov.au/#/form/5a559d4cad9c5a458c004aa4, entering business and responsible-person details and uploading all supporting documents.
6. Pay the application fee: $973.00 for an individual applicant or $2,212.00 for a body corporate (2025–26 rates) — payment is made during the online submission.
7. CBS assesses your application, which may include fit-and-proper person checks and verification of financial solvency.
8. Once approved, receive your licence — it remains in force until surrendered, cancelled, or (for body corporates) the company is dissolved; renew or vary via the CBS Online Registration portal at https://secure.cbs.sa.gov.au/OLR/.
