Cosmetic Injector — Doctor Pathway (AHPRA Medical Practitioner + Cosmetic Certification)
Medical practitioners administering cosmetic injectables (botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, biostimulators) must hold full AHPRA medical registration plus post-graduate cosmetic medical training. Following the TGA cosmetic injectables reforms (Sept 2023, expanded 2024-2025) and the MBA Guidelines for registered medical practitioners who perform cosmetic medical and surgical procedures (effective 2 Sept 2025), the prescriber-injector model has been overhauled — telehealth-only "script mills" are banned and a real-time clinical consultation is required before any prescription.
