The Seasonal Worker Programme (SWP) merged into the PALM scheme on 4 April 2022. Existing SWP-only Approved Employers retained AE status under PALM. Some legacy SWP visas still in-country are managed under transitional arrangements; new applications must use PALM short-stream (up to 9 months).
