Scarification / Branding Artist — Restricted Body Art Licence (NSW & QLD)

NSWQLD

Form number: P1306 / P1307 (NSW) / TP-1 / TP-2 (QLD)

Scarification (cutting) and branding (thermal or strike branding) are highly invasive body modifications that pierce or destroy skin and are regulated under each state's tattoo / body modification framework. NSW and QLD treat scarification and branding as captured by the Tattoo Parlours Act regimes — Tattooist and Master licences (Master licences formerly Operator licences) from the state regulator plus rigorous council skin-penetration registration are required. Several states have additional body-modification age and consent restrictions, and informed-consent recording is mandatory.
