How to apply

  1. Determine whether any family unit member aged 18 years or over is included in your visa application (migrating or non-migrating).
  2. Download Form 47A from the Department of Home Affairs website (immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/form-listing/forms/47a.pdf).
  3. Complete the form in English using block letters and a pen, or use the fillable PDF version.
  4. Provide personal details including full name, date of birth, passport information, and any identity document numbers (e.g. social security cards, alien registration documents).
  5. Declare your current relationship status and whether you reside at the same address as the primary applicant.
  6. List details of any dependent children of the family unit member, including children from previous relationships.
  7. Sign and date the declaration section of the form.
  8. Attach the completed Form 47A to your visa application in ImmiAccount or include it with your paper application lodgement.
  9. Retain a copy of the completed form for your records.
