VIC Funeral Industry Code of Practice — Consumer Affairs Victoria
Victoria regulates funeral providers under the Funerals Act 2006 (VIC) and the Funerals Regulations 2025 — mandatory obligations that complement the Australian Consumer Law (Victoria). CAV publishes a "Funerals" guidance pack — providers must give written estimates, itemised invoices, and not pressure-sell at-need families. The Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2003 (VIC) covers cemetery trusts separately.
