SA Magistrates Court — Minor Civil Claim
Form number: Form 1B — Minor Civil Claim
The SA Magistrates Court Minor Civil Division hears small claims of $12,000 or less (Magistrates Court Act 1991 — the limit has been $12,000 since 1 August 2016; the earlier $25,000 figure no longer applies). Claims over $12,000 go to the General Civil Division, up to $100,000. Above $100,000 it goes to the District Court.
