How to apply

  1. Check your eligibility using the official Hearing Services Program voucher eligibility checker at health.gov.au or hearingservices.gov.au — eligible groups include Pensioner Concession Card holders and their spouses, DVA Gold Card holders, DVA White Card holders (for hearing loss conditions), ADF members, and people referred via Disability Employment Services.
  2. If you are new to the program and confirmed eligible, you will be directed immediately to complete your online application on hearingservices.gov.au.
  3. Complete the online application form providing your full name, date of birth, eligibility number (e.g. Centrelink or DVA reference number), and contact details.
  4. Submit the application — you will receive a program voucher valid for 5 years.
  5. Contact an accredited Hearing Services Program provider (such as Hearing Australia, Amplifon, Audika, or other accredited clinics) and present your voucher.
  6. Attend a subsidised hearing assessment at the provider clinic.
  7. If hearing devices are recommended, select from the subsidised range covered under your voucher; some premium devices may incur an out-of-pocket top-up cost.
