Foster Carer Allowance — State Out-of-Home-Care Payment
Foster carer allowances are paid by STATE child protection departments (not Centrelink) for children in formal out-of-home care. Centrelink delivers complementary payments such as FTB Part A, Foster Child Health Care Card and (in many cases) Carer Allowance for children with high needs.
