Financial Adviser Registration (FAR Exam)
The financial adviser exam, administered by ASIC (via ACER) since 1 January 2022, is one of the professional-standards education requirements under s921B of the Corporations Act 2001. 'Relevant providers' (financial advisers) and those training to become one must pass the exam; a trainee must pass before being authorised as a provisional relevant provider and completing their professional year.
