CEC accreditation has separate endorsements for Stand-Alone Power Systems (SAPS / off-grid), small wind turbines and micro-hydro generators. Required for off-grid solar / battery + diesel hybrid systems, remote-area homesteads and the SAPS sub-scheme of the Renewable Energy Target. Note: this is for INSTALLING small off-grid wind/hydro generators on properties — it is not the pathway for working as an electrician on commercial wind farms (see the Wind Turbine Technician / GWO entry for that).
