SAA Grid Connected Battery Systems (GCBS) accreditation — a full accreditation class (not an endorsement) issued by Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA), the Clean Energy Regulator's scheme operator since 29 February 2024. Available as Design only, Install only, or Design and Install; the Install-only type is only available as an additional accreditation to an existing Grid Connected Photovoltaic (GCPV) Design & Installation accreditation. Required to design, install, or commission grid-connected battery energy storage systems (BESS) per AS/NZS 5139. Mandatory for any BESS install seeking state battery rebates.
