The Restricted Electrical Licence — Air-Conditioning class (commonly called ACEL) is issued by ESV in Victoria and authorises a refrigeration / air-conditioning technician to perform a defined set of electrical work specific to AC installation — disconnect, reconnect and test air-conditioning fixed wiring within the equipment's control scope. It does not authorise the installation of new wiring or equipment. Equivalent restricted licences exist in other states.
