ACMA Open Cabler Registration
You must hold an ACMA Open Cabler Registration before connecting any cable to the Telstra / NBN network — that includes phone sockets, NBN lead-in, MDF / IDF jumpering, ethernet runs into a customer comms cabinet, fire panel dialler tails. The Open registration is the broadest class and the one most data / comms electricians get; it covers domestic, commercial and industrial customer cabling.
