QLD Water Licence
In Queensland a Water Licence under the Water Act 2000 attaches to land and authorises taking water from a watercourse, lake, spring or aquifer for irrigation, dewatering, town supply or industrial use. Most surface water systems also require a Water Allocation (a separately tradeable entitlement).
