A Property Identification Code (PIC) is the unique 8-character identifier the state assigns to a property carrying livestock or bees. PIC is the foundation of the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS), brand registration, vendor declarations, biosecurity emergency response and saleyard / abattoir movement records. Required before any livestock can leave or arrive at a property.
