NSW Water Access Licence (WAL)

NSW

A Water Access Licence (WAL) gives you a share of the water available in a regulated river, unregulated stream or groundwater source in NSW. You need a WAL plus a Water Use Approval and (if you are pumping from a watercourse or bore) a Works Approval before you can take water for irrigation, stock-and-domestic-above-the-basic-right, or industrial use.
