- Confirm you must register: you employ workers to perform construction or maintenance work in Victoria for more than 5 days in any calendar month
- Register your business online at leaveplus.com.au/employers/register/ — provide business name, ABN/ACN, contact details, and registered business address
- Register each eligible worker through the LeavePlus member portal (casual, part-time, full-time, apprentices)
- Each quarter, complete the Workers Days and Wages return form recording the number of construction days worked and ordinary pay for each eligible worker
- Submit the quarterly return by the 14th of the month following the quarter end (e.g., 14 April for the January–March quarter) via the LeavePlus online portal
- Receive the invoice from LeavePlus calculated at 2.7% of ordinary pay, and pay within 14 days by credit card or BPay using the unique BPay reference
- Submit a nil return if no construction work was performed in that quarter — returns are mandatory even with no activity
- When a worker leaves, finalise their service record in the portal; provide pay documentation when workers submit leave claims
