Industrial Hemp Licence

A licence issued by Agriculture Victoria authorising the cultivation and processing of industrial hemp (low-THC cannabis) for non-therapeutic purposes such as food, cosmetics and fibre. Under the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981, industrial hemp is 'low-THC cannabis' whose leaves and flowering heads contain no more than 1.0% THC. This is separate from medicinal cannabis, which is licensed by the Commonwealth Office of Drug Control.
