Home Equity Access Scheme (formerly Pension Loans Scheme)
The Home Equity Access Scheme (HEAS) is a federal reverse-mortgage-style loan against the family home for older Australians. You receive up to 150% of the maximum Age Pension as fortnightly top-ups, or up to 50% of that as occasional lump-sum advances, repaid from the property when you sell or die.
