If your partner, child, or someone you cared for died, Centrelink may pay a Bereavement Payment to help with immediate costs. There are several types: Bereavement Payment (lump sum), Bereavement Allowance (weekly, for 14 weeks for those who lost a partner), and Pensioner Bereavement Payment.
