Business Agent / Business Broker Licence (NSW Fair Trading + WA DMIRS)

Business agent / business broker licences cover the sale of businesses (going concerns) including small businesses, hospitality venues, franchises and commercial enterprises. As of 23 March 2020, Business Agent functions are conducted under a Real Estate Agent licence (Class 1 or Class 2) with optional business agent function restriction. Separate Business Agent licences no longer exist.; WA issues a separate Business Agent licence + Triennial Certificate alongside its real estate equivalents. Other states regulate business sales under the standard real estate / land agent licence.
