BICON is the Australian biosecurity import conditions database operated by DAFF. Almost every plant, animal, biological or genetic-resource import requires either a BICON permit or compliance with conditions in BICON before the goods can enter Australia. Required under the Biosecurity Act 2015 for any importer of seeds, nursery stock, animal products, biologicals, soil-bearing items and many foods.
