AHPRA Registration — Dental Hygienist
Form number: ADBH-30
Dental Hygienist is one of four divisions on the Dental Board's register and is distinct from Dental Therapist and the combined Oral Health Therapist division. Hygienists scale and clean teeth, take radiographs, apply preventive treatments and provide oral health education within a structured professional relationship with a dentist. Most contemporary graduates qualify as combined OHTs (see separate entry); standalone hygienist registration remains for older Diploma of Dental Hygiene graduates.
