Aged Care Assessment for Entry-Level Home Support (CHSP)
The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) helps older people access entry-level support services — like cleaning, meals and transport — to live independently and safely at home. One assessment organisation now conducts all aged care assessments (the separate RAS was replaced on 9 December 2024); if your needs are more complex, you may be approved for the Support at Home program instead. CHSP will not transition to Support at Home before 1 July 2027.
