ACMA Class Licence Usage — Notification / Compliance
Class Licences let anyone operate certain low-power radio gear without an individual licence — CB radio (UHF and 27MHz), Wi-Fi, walkie-talkies, baby monitors, garage door remotes, LPWAN IoT gear. There is no application process: if your equipment is type-approved and used to the class licence rules, you are automatically licensed. ACMA does require you to keep evidence of compliance for commercial deployments.
