Victoria — Restricted Electrical Worker Licence (REL) for Auto Electricians
Auto electricians in Victoria who disconnect/reconnect "like for like" equipment connected to fixed wiring, for the purposes of repair, replacement or maintenance, need a Restricted Electrical Worker (REL) licence — formerly known as a "D" licence. An REL does not allow electrical wiring and installation work at low voltage or above, including the installation of new wiring or equipment such as EV chargers.
