VIC Schedule 8 Treatment Permit & SafeScript

Victorian medical practitioners must hold a Schedule 8 Treatment Permit under the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981 to prescribe S8 medicines (or any drug of dependence) for more than 8 weeks, or for any drug-dependent patient. Pharmacists must check SafeScript before dispensing monitored medicines.
