TAS Police Family Violence Order (PFVO)

A Police Family Violence Order is issued at the scene by a Tasmania Police officer (sergeant or above) under the Family Violence Act 2004. Tasmania is unusual in that PFVOs can run up to 12 months without a court hearing.
