The QLD Shotfirer Certificate is issued by the Resources Safety and Health Queensland Board of Examiners under the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 and the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999. Separate certificates are issued for coal and metalliferous / quarry operations; applicants must pass a law exam before becoming eligible for the oral panel assessment by the Board.
