API 1104 is the international standard for welding pipelines and related facilities — gas transmission, oil pipelines, slurry lines and CO2 pipelines. Qualification differs from AS 3992 / ISO 9606-1 — separate destructive tests (nick-break, root / face / side bends) and welder qualification is per pipe diameter / wall-thickness group.
