Pharmacy Premises Approval / Ownership — by State
Each state has a separate Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Authority that approves pharmacy premises and the pharmacist owners. Only registered pharmacists (or pharmacist-controlled bodies corporate) can own a pharmacy; the premises must meet layout, dispensary and S8 storage standards.
