Installing, maintaining, repairing and servicing electronic security equipment — alarm panels, CCTV cameras, intercoms and access-control systems — requires a Class 2C (Security Equipment Specialist) licence under the Security Industry Act 1997 (NSW). Class 2B is the Security Seller licence: it allows you to sell security equipment and provide advice on its use, but you are not licensed to install, maintain or repair security equipment.
