NHVAS Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) Accreditation
Form number: NHVAS Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) Accreditation
NHVAS BFM gives accredited operators flexibility to operate beyond standard work / rest hours under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) — up to 14 hours work in a 24-hour period (vs 12 hours under standard) and other concessions, in return for systematic fatigue management. Note: from 1 August 2026 the NHVR will no longer have authority to grant any new NHVAS accreditation — new applicants use the Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (HVA) scheme under the updated HVNL.
