CLOSED TO NEW APPLICANTS. AFM was an NHVAS accreditation module allowing outer-limit work / rest hours individually agreed with the NHVR (e.g. extended overnight, two-up driving with sleeper berths). It was available only until the Heavy Vehicle National Law changed on 1 August 2026 — it has been replaced by Alternative Compliance Accreditation – Fatigue (ACA-Fatigue) under the Heavy Vehicle Accreditation scheme. This record covers what EXISTING AFM holders need to know; if you are applying for the first time, use the ACA-Fatigue record instead.
