Industrial Process Refrigeration Technician (Ammonia / R717)
Industrial refrigeration plant in cold storage, food processing, abattoirs, breweries and ice rinks frequently uses ammonia (R717) under high pressure. Ammonia is exempt from ARCtick (it is not a synthetic greenhouse gas), but is regulated by state WHS Act dangerous goods provisions and AS/NZS 5149 / AS/NZS 4332 ammonia code of practice.
