Heavy Vehicle Fatigue Accreditation — ACA-Fatigue (replaces BFM/AFM)
Alternative Compliance Accreditation – Fatigue (ACA-Fatigue) lets operators of fatigue-regulated heavy vehicles run Alternative Compliance Hours (ACH) instead of standard work and rest hours. It REPLACED the old NHVAS Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) and Advanced Fatigue Management (AFM) modules when the Heavy Vehicle National Law changed on 1 August 2026 — BFM and AFM are closed to new applicants and ACA-Fatigue is the scheme to apply for now. If you already hold BFM or AFM, your accreditation stays valid until it expires, is cancelled, or you choose to transition.
