A Dangerous Goods Driver Licence is required once a road vehicle carries dangerous goods above the jurisdiction threshold — in NSW, any quantity of dangerous goods in a receptacle with a capacity of more than 500 litres, or any receptacle containing more than 500 kilograms of dangerous goods. Issued per state under the Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods (ADG7.9), but harmonised across jurisdictions.
