AS/NZS 3834 is the Australian adoption of ISO 3834 — the company-level quality system standard for fusion welding. Part 2 (Comprehensive), Part 3 (Standard) or Part 4 (Elementary) certification is mandatory for fabricators supplying major rail, defence, infrastructure and resources principals. Audits welder qualifications, WPS / PQR control, traceability and a Responsible Welding Co-ordinator (CWS or IWE).
