Standard Refrigerant Trading Authorisation is the business-level permit required for any sole trader, partnership or company that acquires, stores, decants or disposes of refrigerant in Australia. Most RAC contractors, automotive workshops and wholesalers hold a Standard RTA — separate RACEMA and RRTA categories exist for manufacturers and recyclers.
