Aluminium welding qualification covers the marine 5xxx series (5083, 5086 hulls and decks), the structural 6xxx series (6061, 6082 frames and superstructure) and 1xxx pure aluminium. Run with GTAW (TIG) on thin sections or GMAW (MIG) spray transfer on thick. Required by aluminium boatbuilders (Austal, Incat), road tanker builders and architectural aluminium fabricators.
