ACT Health Direction
In the ACT, your advance care wishes are recorded in a Health Direction under the Medical Treatment (Health Directions) Act 2006 (ACT). It is legally binding on health practitioners. You can also appoint an Enduring Power of Attorney for health and personal care under separate legislation.
