Limited Registration — Public Interest
Limited registration (Public Interest) is a narrow category granted by the Dental Board where it considers that allowing an overseas-qualified dentist to practise in a defined role serves the Australian public interest — typically to address workforce shortages in remote, Aboriginal-controlled health or specialised public-hospital settings. Granted only where the Board is satisfied no Australian-registered dentist is reasonably available.
